2013 Third Quarter Statistics

July Goals: 54,250 calories and 186 miles
July Totals: 62,592 calories and 412.2 miles

August Goals: 54,250 calories and 186 miles
August Totals: 74,011 calories and 457.1 miles

September Goals: 52,500 calories and 180 miles
September Totals: 73,039 calories and 478.5 miles

Third Quarter Goals: 161,000 calories and 552 miles
Third Quarter Totals: 209,642 calories and 1,347.8 miles

On July 20th, I participated in my first Sprint Triathlon (swimming, cycling, running) event. I swam 350 meters (7 laps in an Olympic size swimming pool which is 50 meters per lap), cycled 12 miles and completed a 5K (3.1 miles). I came in dead last and I am extremely proud of that fact! Why you ask? Because, I completed every leg of the event myself! I was not a member of a team like some were and more importantly because it is no easy task to transition from one leg of the event to the next without being tired. You have to put in the work and I did! I am targeting July 2014 to participate in this event again!
